Position Summary

As a Financial Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering customer assistance, managing clerical tasks, maintaining documentation, processing travel authorizations, handling voucher submissions, and entering payroll data reports to support various professional, technical, administrative, and clerical teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver customer assistance and manage clerical functions.
  • Oversee travel authorizations and voucher submissions.
  • Conduct payroll data entry and generate reports.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adept at operating standard office equipment (e.g., fax machines, copiers, shredders).
  • Capable of handling sensitive and classified information.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and management.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn applications such as ATAAPS, Concur, and SharePoint.
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in travel and payroll for the private or government sector.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "L" Access Authorization.
Physical and Environmental Conditions

This position is performed in an office setting where physical demands may include prolonged periods of sitting or standing, frequent use of computers and standard office equipment, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Job functions may require extended periods of computer use, walking, occasional bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, turning, and twisting. The role may also involve climbing stairs or ladders and occasional lifting of 15-25 pounds.
