Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate LMSW Social Worker to join our team at the Early Childhood Center. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being of low-income children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate services for children in our program, ensuring seamless support and care.
  • Provide comprehensive support to families, from intake to transition to kindergarten, fostering strong relationships and trust.
  • Manage case management, family goal setting, home visits, and in-class supports, utilizing your expertise to drive positive outcomes.
  • Facilitate family-focused support groups, creating a safe and inclusive environment for families to share and learn.
  • Represent the organization with community partners, providers, and the NYC Department of Education, promoting collaboration and mutual understanding.
  • Collaborate with other social workers and teachers on program-wide initiatives, driving innovation and excellence.
  • Train families and staff, sharing your knowledge and expertise to enhance their skills and confidence.
Requirements
  • Experience working with low-income young children and their families, with a deep understanding of their unique needs and challenges.
  • Stellar academic career, with a Master's in Social Work and applicable licensure.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm and composed under pressure.
  • Excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, building strong relationships and trust with colleagues and stakeholders.
