ACE is committed to empowering individuals in New York City through job training, work experience, and comprehensive support aimed at fostering economic independence. We are currently in search of a full-time Counselor / Social Worker to enhance our dedicated team.

  • Oversee a case load by guiding participants towards achieving their vocational objectives
  • Facilitate on-site therapeutic services, which include SMART Recovery Meetings and Certified Recovery Peer Advocates (CRPAs)
  • Encourage participant involvement in existing therapeutic programs; develop additional offerings as necessary
  • Lead classes on wellness subjects and conduct support groups
  • Perform intake assessments and evaluate the eligibility of candidates

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • LMSW, MHC, or a comparable credential in a relevant field is preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in social services
  • Ability to effectively facilitate groups and educational sessions
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and capable of conducting Internet research
  • A dedication to assisting individuals in their journey towards self-sufficiency

Work Location: Long Island City, Queens

Compensation: $58,000 - $62,000, inclusive of benefits
