We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our team at the Delaware Ship Supply Company Inc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring hardware consumables to meet our company's operational needs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter data into computer systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness

• Costing and pricing quotes; processing purchase orders and expediting shipments in a fast-paced industry to ensure timely deliveries

• Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager and other personnel within the department

Requirements:

• Purchasing background for hardware type items preferred

• Strong communication skills

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously

• Good work ethic and desire to go above and beyond

• Willingness to learn and adapt to various responsibilities
