Acute Care Services Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to enhance the Acute Care Services team. This role is a full-time day position.

This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of one of the nation's premier cardiology programs, collaborating with highly esteemed and well-trained medical professionals.

Piedmont Heart Institute delivers comprehensive cardiovascular services, including specialized electrophysiology, transplant, advanced heart failure management, critical care, interventional procedures, surgical interventions, and research initiatives.


Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the assessment and management of cardiology patients across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, emergency room, and intensive care units.

• Conduct thorough patient histories, perform physical examinations, and document findings in patient records.

• Generate progress notes, consults, admissions, and discharge summaries.

• Prepare comprehensive patient workups.

• Order and coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as part of direct patient care services.

• Collaborate with Physicians and other Advanced Practice Providers in a cohesive team environment.

• May require occasional travel to various clinic locations.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program and National Board Certification

  • Licensed as a Nurse with approval to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Georgia, along with National Certification.

Preferred Experience
• 2-5 years of prior experience in cardiology is highly preferred.
