About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Housing Stabilization Specialist to join our team at Engage Community Services. As a key member of our housing services department, you will provide essential support to individuals with disabilities or seniors in locating and maintaining adequate and affordable housing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and address barriers that hinder clients from finding and sustaining housing.
  • Develop personalized plans to relocate clients to suitable housing solutions.
  • Provide advocacy support to ensure clients can maintain independent housing throughout their lease term.

Requirements:

  • Ability to pass a Department of Human Services background check.
  • Strong understanding of person-centered approaches.
  • Excellent organizational and independent work skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills for documenting client progress.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Reliable vehicle with valid auto insurance.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs or more.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Associates Degree or equivalent experience in human services or a related field; one year of working with persons with disabilities or seniors (preferred).
  • Reliable vehicle/valid driver's license and ability to transport clients (required).
  • Good knowledge of the Twin Cities Area (required).
  • Knowledge of benefit/assistance programs in Minnesota (preferred).
  • Housing Stabilization Specialist/Housing Access Coordinator Experience (highly preferred).
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults (preferred).
  • Housing or Human Services experience (preferred).
  • Ability to quickly learn new software systems.

Salary Information:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $50,000, based on industry standards and market rates.
