Position Overview:

As a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the communication abilities of patients, contributing significantly to their overall quality of life. Your expertise will be essential in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
  • Document patient progress and modify treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding speech and language disorders.
  • Maintain and manage all necessary equipment in accordance with facility policies.
  • Engage in daily recordkeeping, ensuring accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment notes, and communications.
  • Adhere to the highest standards of safety, courtesy, and effectiveness in all interactions.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Active Speech Language Pathology license in New Mexico (CFY or CCC).
  • Relevant clinical experience in the field.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, as outlined in departmental guidelines.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.

Work Environment:

This position may involve exposure to various environmental conditions and physical demands, including lifting and moving patients, as well as maintaining focus on detailed tasks in a dynamic healthcare setting.
