Psychiatrist/Medical Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatrist/Medical Director to join our team at Commonpoint Queens. As a key member of our mental health clinic, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to adults and teens with a wide range of mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Psychiatric Evaluations and Medication Management: Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and provide ongoing medication management as clinically appropriate.
- Treatment Plan Review and Signature: Review and sign treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, health screen questionnaires, and other clinical documentation requiring psychiatric review and signature.
- Psychiatric Emergencies: Assist with psychiatric emergencies as needed.
- Incident Review and Mortality Case Reviews: Participate in quarterly Incident Review Meeting and mortality case reviews.
- Prescriber Meetings: Participate in monthly prescriber meetings.
- Supervision and Consultations: Provide supervision to Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and RN when needed, and provide psychiatric consultations to medical and clinical staff as needed.
- Clinical Record Maintenance: Maintain clinical records in Electronic Health Record.
- Collaborative Practice Agreement: Enter into a collaborative practice agreement for Nurse Practitioners.
- After-Hours Support: Provide after-hours support assistance as needed.
- Community Coordination: Coordinate overlap care with community neurologists and internal medicine physicians.
- High-Risk Case Review: Attend high-risk case review as needed.
- Telepsychiatry Experience: Experience (1-2 years) providing Telepsychiatry care.
- Direct Clinical Care: Provide direct clinical care with ages twenty and older.
- Board Eligibility or Certification: Board Eligible or Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry with active New York State License. Additional Board Eligibility or Certification In Child/Adolescent Psychiatry preferred.
- Unrestricted DEA License: Unrestricted DEA License.
- Medical Degree: M.D. or D.O.
- Medicare and Medicaid Enrollment: Eligible or active enrollment as a medicare and medicaid provider.
- Flexibility in Working Arrangements: Flexibility in working in a hybrid model.
