Psychiatrist/Medical Director

Commonpoint Queens is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist/Medical Director to join our team. As a key member of our mental health clinic, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to adults and teens with a wide range of mental health needs.
Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management as clinically appropriate.
- Review and sign treatment plans, health screen questionnaires, and other clinical documentation requiring psychiatric review and signature.
- Assist with psychiatric emergencies as needed.
- Participate in quarterly Incident Review Meetings and mortality case reviews.
- Participate in monthly prescriber meetings.
- Provide supervision to Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and RNs as needed.
- Participate in weekly case conference meetings with the treatment team.
- Provide psychiatric consultations to medical and clinical staff as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in our Electronic Health Record system.
- Enter into a collaborative practice agreement for Nurse Practitioners.
- Provide after-hours support assistance as needed.
- Coordinate care with community neurologists and internal medicine physicians.
- Attend high-risk case reviews as needed.
- Provide Telepsychiatry care with experience in providing direct clinical care to adults aged 20 and older.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry with an active New York State License.
- Unrestricted DEA License.
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Eligible or active enrollment as a Medicare and Medicaid provider.
- Flexibility in working in a hybrid model.
- Regular supervision by an experienced LCSW.
