Physician (Dermatologist)

We are seeking a highly skilled Dermatology Physician to join our team at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care in the form of invasive, consultative, and inpatient and outpatient dermatology patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver compassionate and competent dermatological care to patients
- Work with multiple divisions/services to improve patient care outcomes and efficiencies
- Collaborate with nursing and other staff to meet common goals
- Participate in staff meetings, morbidity and mortality conferences, grand rounds, and other clinically relevant academic and service activities
- Provide clinical coverage as needed by the dermatology team
- Establish and promote an atmosphere of unity through collaborative practice and effective communication
- Responsible for the structure and details of physician availability schedules and nighttime coverage systems
- Help supervise and train physician assistants, nurse practitioners, residents, and medical student trainees
- Perform administrative components of patient care management, including entering progress notes, procedure notes, labs, and pathology results
- United States citizenship
- Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
- Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States
- Residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
Experience providing comprehensive patient care in the form of invasive, consultative, and inpatient and outpatient dermatology patient care.
