Job Summary

AEM, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical & Electronics Applications Engineer to support our Sales / Customer Service team. The successful candidate will interface with external and internal engineering departments to identify and generate design wins. This role involves a variety of product, technical, and engineering functions, including pre/post-sales support, research, component analysis, design, and development. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical, organizational, time management, and communication skillset, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop relationships with key technical decision makers and influencers in each account.
  • Establish basic design requirements from the system level down to component level.
  • Collaborate with design, production, and/or engineering departments to develop/execute technical strategies that help solve customer design challenges.
  • Drive adoption of advocated solutions with supplier partners that meet customer needs and lead to increased design activity, design wins, and sales growth.
  • Create presentations, technical papers, application notes, design guides, spec sheets, and other sales-related documentation.
  • Provide general application and product-level sales training.
  • Present technical papers at trade shows and symposiums.
  • Identify and track largest design opportunities from concept to production, utilizing all supplier resources to assure greatest potential for success.
  • Interpret Military/Government and/or Supplier Controlled Documentation, determine AEM product capability, and generate associated quotations.
  • Research major industry players to communicate to internal and external customers, industry trends, and directions.
  • Attend internal and external technical training as needed to complete and maintain certifications.
  • Provide technical support to Customer Service and Sales teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) or Associate Degree in electrical/electronic engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years' experience in electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with and ability to interpret detailed customer specifications.
  • Ability to conduct component analysis and board-level testing evaluations.
  • Experience with public speaking and presentation of technical papers.
  • Experience with graphic design software.
  • This position requires domestic and international travel (10-50%).
  • Must be a US Person.
