Position Overview

We are seeking a Clinical Residential Counselor to deliver on-site therapeutic services for our programs. This role involves providing clinical support and supervision for individuals experiencing severe and persistent mental health challenges in a residential treatment environment. The position requires the ability to assist in training and overseeing Residential Associates who deliver 24-hour support services to residents. The Clinical Residential Counselor will work under the guidance of the Clinical Manager for daily supervision and assignments, while also being supervised by the Clinical Director for adherence to clinical standards and quality improvement.

The role entails conducting Comprehensive Mental Health Assessments, Treatment Plan updates, and providing clinical oversight and consultation to facility staff, as well as liaising with community service providers. Availability by phone for emergencies is required. Additionally, crisis de-escalation training will be provided, which includes performing various physical techniques.

Work Schedule: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Compensation

$6,250 - $7,250 per month based on experience and credentials. An additional 5% Language Differential is available for bilingual or multilingual candidates (Spanish/English preferred).

Compensation Structure

  • Unlicensed: $6,250 - $6,750 per month
  • Licensed Mental Health Professionals: $6,750 - $7,250 per month

About Our Programs

Our facilities provide 24/7 residential care for adults facing serious mental health issues. Our dedicated staff, including registered nurses and qualified mental health professionals, ensure that residents receive the support they need.

Qualifications

  • Eligibility for Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) registration is required. Eligibility criteria include:
  • A Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
  • Unlicensed Therapists must be actively pursuing or willing to obtain licensure.
  • Completion of TWO (2) YEARS of post-graduate clinical experience in a mental health treatment setting is necessary.

If not already registered as a QMHP, we will assist you in the registration process within 30 days of hire.

Successful candidates must pass a criminal background check.

Physical Requirements: This role requires frequent communication, mobility, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. It may also involve climbing stairs and performing various physical tasks. Crisis de-escalation and CPR training will be required, which includes physical maneuvers. Reasonable accommodations can be made.
