Job Summary

McLaughlin Research Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer to support the Platform & Payload Integration department at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and interpret technical requirements, drawings, data sets, reports, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with project teams to define and implement engineering solutions that meet systems mission objectives.
  • Resolve programmatic and technical problems that affect cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Develop, document, and maintain test procedures, methods, and tools.
  • Integrate technical, cost, and safety considerations into product definition to comply with Department of Defense requirements.
  • Perform system analyses, design studies, testing, and data collection/analysis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2-5 years of engineering experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, scheduled-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with submarine launcher, weapons handling, weapons stowage, and/or Unmanned Underwater Vehicles.
