Assembly Equipment Specialist

Job Summary:

The Assembly Equipment Specialist will be responsible for the installation, setup, and calibration of assembly/wrapping equipment, as well as repairs and diagnostics for other equipment within a distribution center. This role requires a strong background in mechatronics technical training or equivalent experience in general industrial mechanical maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, set up, and calibrate assembly/wrapping equipment.
  • Repair and diagnose faults or malfunctions in equipment.
  • Examine machine parts and tooling for damage or excessive wear.
  • Perform routine maintenance work on equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting.
  • Research, order, and maintain parts inventory for services and repairs.
  • Work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision, accepting direction from a more skilled mechanic or maintenance lead.
  • Use a multi-meter as a diagnostic trouble shooting and testing tool.
  • Support new equipment installation and perform preventative maintenance, problem diagnostics, and conduct repairs on facility utilities and material handling systems.
  • Use CMMS for work order tracking, record keeping, and spare parts control.
  • Display good communication skills with all other Arden employees and outside business contacts.

Requirements:

  • Mechatronics degree or related certification, or two years or more experience in general industrial maintenance.
  • Strong skills and experience in industrial maintenance areas, including electrical systems, electronic controls, and programmable logic controllers.
  • Ability to read, understand, and explain electrical/electronic schematics, drawings, and manuals for mechanical drive and pneumatic systems, and building blueprints.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity to work with a full range of hand and power tools.
