About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical team at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. As a Charge Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and leading a team of dedicated healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and develop individualized plans of care to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and make informed decisions.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient care, including medication administration, vital signs, and treatment plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements
  • A current state RN license or a current multistate compact license.
  • An associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Two or more years of recent RN experience, with a minimum of one year of hospital staff nurse experience.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification (or) obtained within 90 days after hire date.
  • Current American Heart Association ACLS certification (or) obtained within 90 days after hire date.
  • Current American Heart Association PALS certification (or) obtained within 90 days after hire date.
  • Successfully pass an arrhythmia exam within 90 days after hire date.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • The ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
