Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Resolution Specialist to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial security of patient accounts, including functions associated with credit balances on accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize expected reimbursement calculations to determine if refunds are due to insurance companies.
  • Correct proration and adjustment errors, and trend errors to recommend how to prevent future errors.
  • Refund process must be followed explicitly to ensure timely and accurate transfer of money.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years' experience in customer service, healthcare, or leadership, or 1 year of internal company experience with demonstrated success in a relevant area.
  • Preferred: Hospital and/or clinic revenue cycle experience, decision-making, problem-solving, analytical, and quality management skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to the role, and keyboard.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload.
