Job Summary:

The Murfreesboro Medical Clinic is seeking a skilled Employee Health and Safety Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for providing direct and indirect nursing care for employees by identifying risks and hazards, assessing health status, and promoting overall health and well-being within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and implement employee health orientation programs, working closely with departmental directors and administrators.
  • Assist with revising and updating policies and procedures related to employee health.
  • Make recommendations to the Director of HR regarding procedures for pre-employment and on-boarding processes.
  • Report all pre-employment testing and vaccination processes.
  • Attend required meetings and report to CODE teams as needed.
  • Assist with employee testing for community-spread outbreaks, such as COVID-19.
  • Perform communicable disease exposure follow-up and document work-related injuries.
  • Work closely with Human Resources to monitor employee work-related illness and injury trends.
  • Assess, develop, and implement strategies to prevent work-acquired injury or illness and expedite return to work.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information and medical records.
  • Act as an advocate for employee rights by ensuring access to preventative health and safety measures.

Requirements:
  • Current licensure as an LPN.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' clinical experience in healthcare required.
