About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated and compassionate individuals to join our Care at Home Team in South Lanarkshire. As a Home Carer, you will play a vital role in supporting service users to maintain their independence and quality of life in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to service users, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Assess and identify risks, developing and implementing plans to mitigate these risks and ensure the service user's safety.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Community Nurses, and Social Care professionals.
  • Deliver reablement and rehabilitation approaches, supporting service users to regain skills and abilities.
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide support to service users who require assistance.
Requirements
  • SVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Ability to work at SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care as a minimum standard.
  • Willingness to work towards achieving this qualification if not already held.
  • Flexibility to work a shift pattern, including days, evenings, weekends, and unsocial hours.
  • Ability to work in accordance with a roster and respond to emergency calls.
