Job Overview

The Customer Fulfillment Service Specialist plays a crucial role in managing customer interactions within a third-party logistics and fulfillment setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver clear and effective information and solutions to customers, potential clients, and team members.
  • Oversee customer accounts, serving as the primary contact for service-related inquiries.
  • Actively engage in identifying and pursuing new revenue opportunities.
  • Employ a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure accurate rate verification and audit daily transactions for precise billing.
  • Respond to inquiries from prospective customers and the sales team, fostering new leads and business relationships.
  • Collaborate with the pricing team to generate quotes for new customers, lead discussions, and facilitate onboarding processes.
  • Coordinate with the WMS Support team for new item setups and provide necessary training to customers.
  • Utilize a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to track and manage new leads.
  • Assist in the organization of short-term projects, including transloads and crossdocks, ensuring payment collection when necessary.
  • Support the preparation of monthly invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines, while addressing customer inquiries regarding billing.
  • Investigate and analyze issues to identify root causes.
  • Maintain adherence to warehouse security, cleanliness, and safety protocols.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a third-party logistics or fulfillment environment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is essential; experience with Deposco and Cargowise is preferred.
  • Experience with radio frequency picking systems (RF), barcode systems, and electronic data interchange (EDI) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, with Pipedrive being a preferred choice.
  • Background in truckload brokerage or freight forwarding is a plus.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification is required.
  • Strong understanding of shipping and routing guidelines for major retailers, including retail labeling standards.
  • Leadership abilities to implement and manage change effectively.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety standards.
  • Understanding of hazardous material handling requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Adept at multitasking in a dynamic environment, meeting deadlines, and maintaining confidentiality while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
