Position Overview

In this role, you will oversee the dining room service area with minimal supervision. Your responsibilities will include preparing the dining space for meals and special events, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring adherence to cleanliness standards. You will perform your duties in alignment with safety regulations and institutional guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other departments and clients to arrange the dining room for meals and events; coordinate setup with team members; supervise the cleanup process and secure the area as per established protocols.
  • Provide detailed information about operations and services to clients, addressing most inquiries regarding dining options and activities. * Monitor dining area equipment and report maintenance needs to the supervisor.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the menu and daily specials; take customer orders; may prepare food and beverages at the table as requested; ensure timely and proper delivery of orders.
  • Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Maintain cleanliness in server preparation areas and ensure they are stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Relay customer feedback and preferences to management regarding food choices and service quality.
  • Process customer orders and provide receipts; may handle additional cashiering tasks as required.
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements as needed.
  • Participate in inventory management and supply ordering.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including reconciling transactions on the POS system.
Qualifications
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Effective communication skills in English while performing job responsibilities.
  • Flexibility to work split shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • Prior experience with cash register operations.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry up to 50 pounds of equipment and supplies.
  • Possession of a California Food Handler's Card.
  • RBS Alcohol Server Certificate required.
  • Commitment to following and maintaining ServSafe sanitation and safety standards to ensure excellence in food and beverage service.
