Overview
As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the acquisition of Hollow Metal Frames, Hollow Metal Doors, and Wood Doors for designated locations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure effective inventory management practices are followed, aiming for optimal stock levels while anticipating future demand fluctuations and their implications.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with both internal teams and external partners regarding material requisitions and delivery timelines.
- Maintain oversight of lead times for Hollow Metal and Wood Door manufacturing to preempt any purchasing conflicts.
- Evaluate vendor quotations in conjunction with project specifications and insights from Sales/Project Management.
- Explore alternative sourcing options to enhance cost efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve quality.
- Generate Purchase Orders (POs) utilizing the ERP system and online platforms, ensuring accuracy in machining sheets.
- Assess acknowledgment costs against estimated and detailed PO costs, verifying all acknowledgment details and expected delivery dates.
- Enter all order acknowledgments into the ERP system, adjusting costs and delivery dates as necessary.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from manufacturers and ensure strategic vendor alignment for the products under your purview.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:
- A High School Diploma is required.
- Previous experience in an operational support role is essential.
- Extensive knowledge of door and hardware applications is necessary.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check is mandatory.

Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Familiarity with various manufacturing online systems (such as Orderpro, VT Online, Eggers Online, DoorBuilder, COW/EDGE, OEW) is preferred.
- Ability to complete machining sheets and comprehend manufacturing-specific preparations.
- Experience with industry-specific ERP software is advantageous.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with effective leadership capabilities.

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, employees are frequently required to communicate verbally and must be able to stand, walk, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment
This position is based in a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The role may also involve proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and the use of various tools and hardware.
