Assistant Store Leader Job Description

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Leader to join our team at Speedway. As a key member of our retail management team, you will be responsible for overseeing and providing customer service leadership, training, and coaching to all store employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of store employees to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.
  • Implement and maintain effective merchandising and marketing programs to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promote the Speedy Rewards loyalty program to drive customer loyalty and retention.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment by complying with all health and sanitation procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve employee productivity, retention, and engagement.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of retail management experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products, including Word and Excel.
