The Chief Technology Officer is responsible for spearheading the design and implementation of innovative technology systems and tools to advance the mission of NRG Consulting Group. This role requires close collaboration with the Chief Information Officer to evaluate the current technological landscape and operational processes.
Reports to: Executive Director
Key Responsibilities- Offer strategic guidance to the executive team regarding technology architecture, focusing on scalable solutions for organizational growth;
- Oversee the design and development of advanced technology systems and tools to enhance organizational capabilities;
- Implement technological solutions, applications, and integrations that optimize workflows across the organization, including third-party API integrations;
- Conduct Research & Development initiatives to continuously explore new technologies that can benefit the organization;
- Forge strategic partnerships with technology vendors and industry leaders to drive innovation;
- Assess new technologies for compatibility and integration with existing systems and processes;
- Align technology initiatives with organizational goals;
- Provide recommendations on staffing decisions within the technology department;
- Engage in hands-on development support for ongoing projects;
- Manage relationships with consultants and vendors, ensuring project timelines are met;
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in technology architecture, design, development, and team leadership;
- Extensive knowledge of computer systems, networking, databases, and software algorithms;
- Experience in managing technology procurement processes, including reviewing statements of work;
- Proficiency in programming languages and the ability to read and write code;
- Strong strategic planning and goal-setting skills that yield measurable results;
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced and complex environments, both in-person and remotely;
- Excellent judgment and initiative in problem-solving;
- Strong research and analytical capabilities;
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality;
- Competence in estimating technical solutions;
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
