We are currently seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team in La Pine, Oregon. This is a full-time opportunity that offers a competitive hourly rate of $28-$35 per hour, depending on experience.

About the Role

As a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care to patients and their families during a sensitive and profound time. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing hands-on assistance and emotional support to patients in their homes under the supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Assisting patients with therapeutic exercise, light household tasks, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Recognizing and reporting changes in patient condition to the registered nurse or hospice team members.
  • Supporting patients and families in coping with the challenges of terminal illness, providing compassionate companionship and emotional support.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant program.
  • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Oregon.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in hospice or palliative care.
  • Compassionate and empathetic demeanor with a genuine desire to support patients and families during end-of-life care.
