Quality Assurance Department
The Quality Assurance (QA) Department plays a crucial role in ensuring that our programs adhere to the highest standards of service delivery. This department is responsible for collecting and validating data, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with various programs to implement best practices. Our goal is to ensure that all documentation and databases comply with legal and funding requirements, maintaining an 'audit-ready' status across all initiatives.
Position Summary
Reporting to a Quality Assurance Coordinator, the Quality Assurance Reviewer II is tasked with conducting thorough reviews and audits of program documentation and database practices. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with grant, contract, and legal obligations, as well as organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Quality Assurance evaluations for assigned programs, including:
- Implementing QA procedures to verify the accuracy of program files and compliance with funding requirements.
- Conducting annual QA audits for each assigned program.
- Ensuring all programs are prepared for external audits.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of program contracts and grants through ongoing research and engagement.
- Execute special audits for programs under corrective action plans as directed by the Evaluation and Monitoring Director, providing necessary support and training.
- Assist programs in preparation for funder audits, reviewing results and participating in post-audit evaluations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Evaluation and Monitoring.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Ability to pass a fingerprint clearance and background check, including criminal history and employment verification.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in social sciences or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (4 years).
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in a quality assurance or data-driven environment.
- (Seven years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data entry and database management; familiarity with HMIS and/or Service Point.
- Knowledge of Medi-Cal regulations, particularly in relation to substance abuse treatment services.
