Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Assessment & Referral in overseeing the Admissions and Referral Department, ensuring efficient patient access to care and behavioral health evaluations.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients presenting with psychiatric, behavioral, or substance abuse issues, determining medical necessity and appropriate levels of care.
- Supervise the assessment and referral process, ensuring high-quality evaluations and effective communication between staff and physicians.
- Manage telephone triage activities, ensuring accurate documentation and appropriate responses to emergency situations.
- Collaborate with the Director to maintain staffing levels and monitor operational budgets, ensuring adequate provision of care.
- Participate in the hiring, training, and performance evaluation of staff, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
- Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Director.
