Position Overview:
AdventHealth for Children is seeking a passionate and dedicated pediatric hospitalist to enhance our pediatric care services at AdventHealth Waterman.
The physician will be responsible for:
- Conducting pediatric admissions and discharges on the dedicated Pediatric Floor.
- Providing emergency department pediatric consultations and coordinating necessary patient transfers.
- Engaging in daily, family-centered rounds to ensure comprehensive care.
- Managing newborn admissions and discharges.
- Stabilizing and resuscitating patients as required.
Work Schedule:
The role includes a mix of restricted (in-hospital) and unrestricted on-call duties (from home), averaging approximately 15 shifts per month.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess Board Certification or be Board Eligible with the American Board of Pediatrics.
Team Environment:
Our pediatric hospitalist team comprises over 30 physicians and 10 advanced practice providers, delivering care across 7 locations within our network.
AdventHealth for Children is recognized as one of Florida's premier children's hospitals. For three consecutive years, we have been honored with the title of Best Newborn Care by US News and World Report. Our Level 4 NICU in Orlando boasts over 100 beds and access to all major pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties.
