Pediatric Hospitalist at AdventHealth Tampa

AdventHealth Central Florida is seeking a dynamic and energetic Pediatric Hospitalist to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa. As a Pediatric Hospitalist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our pediatric program.
- Responsibilities will include performing pediatric admissions in our 15-bed Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit
- Supporting ED pediatric consults and participating in daily family-centered rounding
- Coverage in the Level 1 Newborn Nursery with the support of an Advanced Practice Provider
- A flexible schedule, approximately 14, 12-hour shifts per month for a full-time pediatric hospitalist, which will include days, nights, and weekends
- 28-bed, Level 3 NICU on site with 24/7 Neonatologist coverage
- 5-bed, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit on site with intensivist coverage
- Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Medical Specialty support on site

This is an employment opportunity that includes the benefits of call coverage and competitive compensation. Other benefits include occurrence-based malpractice coverage, paid leave days, CME days and allowance, 403(b) retirement plan, health insurance for physician and family, and relocation allowance. Hospital DescriptionAdventHealth Tampa is a not-for-profit 536-bed tertiary hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, primarily serving Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, and other surrounding counties. The hospital specializes in cardiovascular medicine, digestive health, neuroscience, orthopedics, women's services, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine, and general surgery, including minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures. AdventHealth for Children Walt Disney Pavilion
As part of AdventHealth Tampa's collaboration with the Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children, patients will have the support of a full-service, tertiary children's hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, more than 30 pediatric ICU beds with a dedicated peds CICU, a 102-bed NICU, 17-bed pediatric emergency department, and statewide pediatric network and transport system. We started our comprehensive pediatric open heart program in 2012 and have a strong track record of positive outcomes. We also have several key destination programs, including our level IV Epilepsy program, the region's only BMT and solid organ transplants, including kidney and liver, and we increased Orlando area NICU beds to 150 total in 2017. Our unparalleled network consists of 30 hospitals across the state with one children's hospital at the center, totaling over 23,000 births and several extremely successful pediatric subspecialty programs, including outreach clinics. These 30 hospitals refer patients for tertiary and quaternary services to our main location near downtown Orlando. Our newest program has brought pediatric liver transplant services to Central Florida.
