About the Role

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify speech and language disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice, and receptive and expressive language skills.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings, tailored to the specific needs and goals of each child.
  • Implement evidence-based therapy techniques and interventions to address speech and language deficits effectively.
  • Provide direct speech therapy services to pediatric patients in the school setting, ensuring a comfortable and supportive environment for treatment.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to develop a multidisciplinary approach to therapy, incorporating input from various stakeholders to maximize treatment outcomes.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of evaluations, treatment plans, and therapy sessions.
  • Educate parents, caregivers, and teachers on speech and language development, offering guidance and strategies for promoting speech and language skills outside of therapy sessions.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid state license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
  • Prior experience working with pediatric populations.
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language development, as well as various speech disorders and treatment approaches.
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive evaluations and create individualized treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with children and their families.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to effectively manage caseload and meet scheduling requirements.
