About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at Youth Advocate Programs, Inc.

Job Summary

The Mental Health Support Specialist will provide intense individualized mental health interventions and support services in community-based settings to children/adolescents with psychiatric diagnoses and their families. This is a non-traditional role that requires a deep understanding of behavioral health principles and practices.

Responsibilities
  • Implement specific treatment goals under the supervision of a Qualified Mental Health Professional
  • Participate as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team
  • Provide sound clinical interventions and supportive services to enable children/adolescents to maintain and function to the best of their ability in the least restrictive setting
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet one of the following requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and ability to complete 40+ hours of training
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in provision of behavioral health services
  • Behavioral Health Certification or Behavior Analysis Certification from accredited organization
  • Certification as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT)
Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, including reimbursement based on education and experience. Bi-lingual/Spanish speaking is a plus, but not required. Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance coverage are essential for this role.

Compensation Package

We estimate the annual salary for this position to be around $45,000-$60,000 based on education and experience. Benefits include voluntary dental, vision, UNUM supplemental insurance, employee assistance program, and 403(b) retirement savings plan.
