Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of equipment.
  • Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to identify potential issues.
  • Carry out tasks that require physical effort, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
  • Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed.
  • Communicate with colleagues to ensure seamless operation of the facilities team.
  • Display advanced knowledge of engineering computer programs and systems.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of hotel MEP systems.
  • Train and mentor other engineers as necessary.
  • Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and vocational or technical background.
  • Extensive experience in general maintenance, electrical, or refrigeration.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification.
  • Meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
  • Supervisory experience is not required.
