Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Engineer III to join our team at JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining the resort's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction and comfort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, and electrical appliances.
  • Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
  • Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inventory management and requisitioning of parts and supplies.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations and provide exceptional guest service.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical background preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance, with a focus on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Valid driver's license and Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervisory experience in a hotel engineering or maintenance role.
  • Extensive experience in general maintenance, electrical, or refrigeration, with a focus on parts inventory and requisition.
  • Knowledge of energy conservation and building management principles.
