We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Junior Development and Construction Accountant to join our team at East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation (EBALDC). As a key member of our Real Estate Development team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and accounts payable processing for our projects under development and construction.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate financial records and reports for development and construction projects, including project budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Work closely with the Real Estate Development team to ensure timely and accurate financial information is provided to support project management and decision-making.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including project cost detail, balance sheets, and income statements for each project.
- Implement and maintain accounting processes and controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and GAAP standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including key building contractors and vendors, auditors, and financial institutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 1 year in an accounts payable role.
- Experience in development and construction accounting preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Yardi preferred) and Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel skills.
EBALDC offers a competitive salary range of $33.00 per hour, as well as excellent benefits, including medical, dental, vision, LTD, and life insurance, EAP, retirement, paid time off, CA paid sick leave, holidays, and wellness days off for all eligible employees.
