Your primary responsibilities will include providing immediate hospitality, managing laundry services, custodial duties, and attending to various other nuanced tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide immediate hospitality by greeting members and guests, making coffee, opening doors, and ensuring lights and lamps are on.
  • Ensure occupant comfort by setting up coffee areas and tidying up rooms between uses.
  • Manage laundry services for altar linens, tablecloths, robes, and microfiber cleaning supplies.
  • Perform custodial duties with a weekly routine and be willing to do cleanup after hours or weekends for events and projects.
  • Assist with food and drink service, flower maintenance, and hearing station upkeep.
  • Vacuum entry rugs daily and touch up clean and restock all restrooms daily.
  • Collect robes for laundering weekly, clean administrative and restroom buildings weekly, and clean designated areas weekly.
  • Represent the church in a professional and hospitable manner during various church services and events.
  • Maintain general tidiness in the laundry room and supplies room.
  • Clean windows, windowed doors, and high traffic touched areas as needed.
  • Perform deep cleaning in other areas.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.

This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of diverse facilities while gaining valuable experience in maintenance and cleaning practices.

Benefits: 32 hours/week, $15 - $17.50/hour + benefits
