Position Overview:

The Analyst for Business Operations Transformation will collaborate closely with the Senior Manager of Business Operations Transformation and the Senior Director of Continuous Improvement. This role is essential in supporting a team of business operations specialists to enhance AES Global Renewables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in identifying, planning, and communicating areas for improvement: Collaborate cross-functionally to gather insights on potential enhancements to ways of working, synthesizing findings, and making recommendations.
  • Support in designing and facilitating workstreams: Utilize the GRS2G methodology to work with cross-functional groups to design, develop, and implement organizational improvements. This includes:
    • Identifying and engaging internal stakeholders.
    • Planning and facilitating quarterly improvement workshops.
    • Supporting workstream leaders in developing quarterly sprint improvement plans.
    • Facilitating agile/scrum meetings to deliver improvements.
    • Drafting critical business operations documents and supporting materials.
    • Engaging senior business leaders for key decision-making.
    • Using facilitation techniques to promote collaboration and critical thinking.
  • Collaborate with workstream leaders and the Change Management Team to ensure new ways of working are communicated and adopted, including:
    • Developing Change Management plans.
    • Identifying change impact audiences.
    • Creating educational materials to raise awareness.
    • Designing training materials for effective implementation.
    • Developing communication strategies to ensure understanding of changes.
  • Drive continuous improvement feedback loops: Work with designated teams to gather feedback on implementation and ensure the GRS2G program adapts to meet the dynamic business environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts, Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in organizational change/process management or business consulting preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a systems-level thinking approach.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Training or accreditation in Lean Six Sigma and/or Agile Methodologies is advantageous.
  • Experience with digital management systems and/or Artificial Intelligence is a plus.
  • PMP certification or PMI experience is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of the energy industry and renewable generation technologies is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications, with capabilities in SAP ERP implementation being a plus.
