Position Responsibilities:

As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant State Traveler, you will embark on a journey where your workplace spans across various states. You will not only travel but also bring health and wellness to diverse communities, from urban centers to rural areas. In visits lasting up to an hour, you will delve into the lives of members, reviewing health statuses, medical histories, and social environments to uncover insights often overlooked in standard check-ups. Imagine a role where each day presents a new adventure, your expertise enhances care, and a single visit can bridge multiple care gaps.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance lives by conducting thorough Adult/Geriatric Assessments, diagnosing, treating, and educating patients, coordinating care plans, and ensuring diligent follow-up.
  • Engage in meaningful collaboration with healthcare professionals and families to enrich patient experiences.
  • Connect and grow within our nationwide network of top-tier advanced practice providers.
  • Utilize your skills across various settings, from home visits to virtual consultations.

Position Details:

Type: Full-Time Permanent

Location: Travel to homes, skilled nursing facilities, or assisted living facilities within the state.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday, with optional Saturdays
  • Full-time work week expected
  • Four weeks on followed by one week off

Compensation:

  • $110,000 - $120,000 per year, based on geographic location and experience
  • Attractive bonus opportunities

Licensing Requirements: Additional state licenses may be necessary based on business needs (Matrix will assist).

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • Master's Degree required OR equivalent experience and successful completion of NP licensure.
  • Master's Degree required OR equivalent experience and successful completion of PA licensure.
  • Current RN and NP/PA licensure in the state of practice, including prescription authority or the ability to obtain it.
  • Board certified by the NCCPA, AANP, ANCC, or the AACCN in a Matrix-approved specialty.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, or CPR certification.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with employee health/medical record software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with patients, clients, and colleagues.
  • Comfortable and adaptable to frequent changes.

Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to travel for up to 4 weeks at a time, possess a valid state driver’s license, and meet the company's automobile liability insurance standards.
