Farnsworth Group is seeking a highly skilled Project Landscape Architect to join our team in either our Tinley Park, Lisle, or Chicago, IL office. As a key member of our landscape architecture team, you will be responsible for executing the design concept of a project through construction documents. You will work closely with our team to ensure the clarity, completeness, accuracy, and overall quality of our project documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the planning, design, and permitting of landscape architecture, civil engineering, land development, and planning projects.
  • Prepare site work cost estimates and zoning analyses.
  • Determine the feasibility of projects based on the analysis of collected data.
  • Write and review draft reports, including feasibility studies, proposals, and technical specifications.
  • Plan, schedule, and develop task and project budgets.
  • Prepare progress reports and draft change orders.
  • Perform and manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
  • Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) certification.
  • 8+ years of related professional experience.
  • LEED AP or similar sustainable accreditation preferred.
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Capability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision required.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit all levels of personnel and management.
