About the Role

Olgoonik Corporation is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Deputy Director of Information Technology and Cybersecurity to lead our IT team in delivering exceptional technology solutions to our federal, state, and local agency customers. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, and execution of our cybersecurity and IT operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cybersecurity Leadership: Serve as the principal advisor on cybersecurity matters, developing and implementing new cyber technologies to protect the corporation, employees, and customers.
  • CMMC Certification: Lead the ongoing execution, implementation, and certification of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program.
  • IT Strategic Planning: Assist the Director and VP in developing an overall IT strategic plan to maintain a robust and unified information technology department and infrastructure.
  • Software Development and Maintenance: Improve existing software programs and develop new applications to meet future business needs.
  • Hardware and Software Maintenance: Ensure hardware and software are maintained and data is secured through proper backups and staff training.
  • Financial Management: Assist in managing budget and controlling expenses effectively.
  • Team Leadership: Hire, train, develop, and appraise staff effectively, including leading a team committed to excellent customer service.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Assist in developing and monitoring metrics related to IT service levels, capacity, cybersecurity, and cost-effectiveness to senior leadership.
  • Technology Planning: Proactively forecast necessary technology equipment purchases and upgrades to support growth and expansion for all worldwide locations.
  • Policies and Procedures: Define, implement, and monitor function policies, procedures, standards, methodologies, and guidelines, including federal, state, and local government regulations.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrate an understanding of business strategy and objectives and recommend changes and improvements in the current technology footprint to enable those objectives.
  • Emerging Technologies: Evaluate and recommend corporate information systems technology solutions while remaining abreast of trends and emerging technologies, specifically in federal government contracting.
  • Information Security: Create, maintain, and enforce written policies and procedures regarding all technology operations throughout the company.
  • Intellectual Property Protection: Act to ensure the integrity of organization-wide data, proprietary information, and related intellectual property through information security and risk assessment.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in IT federal contracting, with 5+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Certifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in relationship with NIST and CMMC.
  • Skills: Ability to perform under high levels of stress, proven experience in IT infrastructure planning, development, and security management, strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Clearance: SECRET Level security clearance required.
