Job Title: Academic Compliance Specialist

Beaufort County School District is seeking a highly skilled Academic Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Instructional Services Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the district's compliance with legal regulatory standards, procedures, and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Director of Accountability with district and school compliance, accountability, and accreditation processes and procedures.
  • Ensure accountability and compliance metrics, documents, and reports are submitted and accurate.
  • Reconcile and make necessary corrections to data and/or reports.
  • Provide training and critical feedback as needed to school leaders and teachers.
  • Assist with internal audits around school and academic compliance and assist with performing student transcript audits to ensure adherence to rules, regulations, and laws.
  • Maintain a variety of detailed records in a variety of written and electronic formats for the purpose of meeting school and/or program reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Identify, investigate, and report compliance issues, irregularities, and/or violations.
  • Be detail oriented with the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure by showing maturity and integrity to handle sensitive and/or confidential tasks and information.
  • Monitor and assist with the accurate and timely completion of plan submissions, reporting requirements, and compliance timelines.
Requirements:
  • Minimum High School diploma plus five years demonstrated progressively responsible office experience.
  • Associate's Degree is preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
