Job Summary

Forward March Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet of construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a wide range of construction equipment and delivery vehicles.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, ignition, and pneumatic systems, diagnose diesel and gas engines, and perform maintenance on drive trains.
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and meets safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Stay up-to-date with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with a construction equipment background.
  • Experience with diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, and drive trains is required.
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with a good mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic understanding of schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods preferred.
  • Must have the necessary tools to do the job.
  • High quality control and a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and support colleagues to achieve goals.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a desire for career growth and development.
