Job Summary

DTG Recycle is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all equipment, commercial fleet operations, diesel engines, air brakes, and electronics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with heavy equipment.
  • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition.
  • Communicate with managers through verbal and written methods to assure repairs are completed correctly.
  • Maintain work area appearance and safety.

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Knowledge of cylinder repair, hydraulic systems, track repair, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
