Job Title: Project Cost Engineer

C.A.C. Industries, Inc. is a leading heavy/civil construction contractor seeking a skilled Project Cost Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely cost forecasting on all projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct administrative and financial analysis to ensure project costs are accurately forecasted
  • Manage and monitor project costs versus budget, ensuring timely and accurate coding and entry into our cost system
  • Record weekly production quantities into our cost system and prepare financial reports, projections, and presentations
  • Review and process subcontractor and vendor payments, as well as record and track extra work for payment from the owner
  • Attend project meetings and provide financial project status

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred
  • 2-5 years' experience working in a similar role, with a strong understanding of heavy civil construction and accounting principles
  • Experience with budget analysis, cash flow, and other financial reports, as well as accounting and project management software
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, with a high level of attention to detail and strong communication and interpersonal skills
