Job Summary

As a Supply Chain Specialist at Prisma Health, you will play a critical role in maintaining a perpetual inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring accurate tracking and timely delivery to hospital departments. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining specialty equipment, communicating with customers, and coordinating product delivery to meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately maintain inventory levels in the storeroom and automated Pyxis stations, ensuring timely replenishment and restocking of specialty carts and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with customers via phone, in-person, and computer to coordinate product delivery and resolve issues.
  • Maintain and replenish standing par level locations throughout the facility, utilizing the Supply Chain Management Information System (SCIS) to create electronic pick tickets.
  • Assist in weekly and annual physical inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accurate perpetual inventory within the SCIS.
  • Appropriately charge and credit patient and departmental products as necessary, either through the SCIS or Nursing Information System.
  • Replenish electronic Pyxis machines, refilling areas that are stocked out or at critical low capacity.
  • Utilize web-based programs to order, request repairs, and request pick-ups of specialty equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of specialty equipment usage, ensuring proper charging and crediting of patients.
  • Perform daily rounds to collect soiled equipment, inspect, and clean it for reuse.
  • Receive, store, and deliver over-the-counter medications, plain IV fluids, and medical device kits containing pharmaceuticals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.

Work Environment

Day shift, United States of America, Greenville Memorial Med Campus, 1008 Greenville Memorial Hospital, Material Services department.
