Position Summary

As a Chief Architect, you will play a pivotal role in driving customer-focused software and IT initiatives within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This position involves collaboration with a cross-functional team, working closely with the customer's front office staff to establish the technical vision for the center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide the development of a cohesive architecture that integrates various solutions and systems to support the customer mission effectively.
  • Assist in formulating a comprehensive 4–5-year strategy for a new data environment.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, analysts, project managers, and other engineering teams to provide support in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), data mapping, analytics, and database maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or 10 years of equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in software engineering and IT architecture design, focusing on maximizing IT capabilities for data processing and user workflows.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in building cloud-compatible, service-oriented, highly scalable, and web-enabled enterprise applications.
  • Expertise in managing the Enterprise IT lifecycle, including system security, data processing, software development methodologies, and technology transitions.
  • Experience in integrating cloud technologies within the Intelligence Community.
  • Strong background in Agile methodologies, leading engineering teams to deliver incremental value.
  • Ability to develop and prioritize backlogs in collaboration with stakeholders and team members.
  • Experience in constructing and evolving large-scale data warehouses using various technologies that meet compliance and recovery standards.

Desired Skills

  • Experience transitioning legacy IT solutions to cloud environments.
  • Background in engineering integrated technical solutions for high-volume data processing.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads.
  • Knowledge of data transformation and analytics processes.
  • Experience in modernizing existing systems to enhance capabilities and meet user requirements.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $220,000 - $250,000, based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
