Job Overview

TULK LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Architect to lead the development of innovative software solutions. This role is critical in designing and implementing Enterprise Architecture, API design, data services, cloud computing, and infrastructure services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software architecture, leadership, and mentorship. They will be responsible for crafting, developing, maintaining, and documenting software solution architectures, ensuring alignment with the Enterprise architecture and meeting requirements.

The Senior Software Architect will work closely with the team to conduct in-depth analyses of user requirements, procedures, and challenges. They will drive automation and enhancements to existing software systems, spearheading the development of proposed changes to software solution architecture design.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Engineering, Engineering Management, Information Technology, Mathematics, System Engineering, or a related STEM degree program. Alternatively, they may showcase equivalent Senior-level experience as a Software Architect.

Key qualifications include Senior-level or higher experience in government or industry, particularly in areas like Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Software Architecture and Design, or Data Architecture. Proficiency in more than one of the following areas: cloud computing, service orientation, containerization, micro-services, API development, or DevSecOps is also required.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and delivering working products to customers within a modern, cloud-based software environment. They will be a strong leader and mentor, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor Mid-Level and Junior-Level software architects in crafting, developing, maintaining, and documenting software solution architectures.
  • Collaborate closely with the team to conduct in-depth analyses of user requirements, procedures, and challenges.
  • Spearhead the development of proposed changes to software solution architecture design.
  • Be the driving force behind high-level software design choices and technical standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Engineering, Engineering Management, Information Technology, Mathematics, System Engineering, or a related STEM degree program.
  • Senior-level or higher experience in government or industry, particularly in areas like Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Software Architecture and Design, or Data Architecture.
  • Proficiency in more than one of the following areas: cloud computing, service orientation, containerization, micro-services, API development, or DevSecOps.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM degree program.
  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering, including processes, tools, and languages.
  • Prior experience with NGA and/or NSG/ASG programs/projects, providing valuable context from the Intelligence Community.
  • Previous involvement in IC or DoD programs/projects.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) or Intelligence Community's (IC) Program Architecture Guidance (PAG).
