HIV Program Management Coordinator

The HIV Program Management Coordinator plays a pivotal role in overseeing the HIV initiatives assigned to them. This position entails comprehensive administrative management, ensuring effective guidance and support for the program staff responsible for delivering all facets of program services. The Coordinator will develop strategic goals, objectives, and performance enhancement measures aimed at providing a seamless continuum of HIV care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of routine HIV testing across all service sites.
- Provide mentorship and support to program staff, assisting with task completion, performance evaluations, and operational maintenance.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director to formulate the HIV Program Work Plan and Quality Management strategies.
- Facilitate ongoing planning activities and offer technical assistance to program staff.
- Conduct quarterly reviews of program scopes and report findings to the Medical Director.
- Assist in the development of program-specific policies and procedures tailored to meet client and provider needs.
- Monitor and track reimbursable expenses related to the program.
- Oversee the utilization of grant services, preparing mid-year and annual reports, and submitting monthly service unit spreadsheets to the Medical Director.
- Conduct quality assurance evaluations across programs to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
- Act as the primary liaison for providers and external agencies regarding the HIV program.
- Perform additional duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Health Services or a related discipline from an accredited institution is required.
- A Master's Degree is preferred.
- CT License is necessary when mandated by state regulations.
- Certification in HIV rapid testing or a commitment to obtain certification is required.
- A minimum of three years of professional experience in social services, healthcare, or a related field, including direct service delivery and program management experience, is essential.
- Strong understanding of HIV/AIDS issues and case management is required.
- Familiarity with infectious diseases, particularly HIV, and knowledge of the Ryan White CARE Act and HIV Counseling and Testing is preferred.
- Experience in program development and client case management is necessary.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a successful track record in quality improvement are preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment is crucial.
- Excellent writing and communication skills are essential.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including database management, is required.
- Attention to detail, ability to prioritize workload, and meet deadlines are critical.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse populations are essential.
