Job Summary:

Owens Community College is seeking qualified individuals to join our adjunct faculty pool for skilled trades. As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching classes, creating and maintaining assignments and records, and communicating effectively with students and the Chair of the Skilled Trades program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach classes in a variety of skilled trades, including electrical, industrial mechanical, HVAC, building maintenance, plumbing/pipefitting, and machining
  • Create and maintain assignments, evaluative measures, and records
  • Communicate effectively with students and the Chair of the Skilled Trades program
  • Engage in other department-related activities
  • Support the mission, vision, and core values of Owens Community College

Requirements:

  • Up to one year of specialized or technical training beyond high school
  • Certified Journeyman if no degree available
  • 10+ years of experience in a related field
  • No experience required for higher levels of degrees

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or two-year technical certificate
  • Journeyperson or 10+ years of related experience in a trade

On-Call Requirements:

  • No minimum expectations
  • Depends on position location as to whether travel is involved or not
