Forensic Science Professor

The University of Findlay is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Forensic Science Professor to join our faculty. As a tenure-track Assistant Professor, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in Forensic Science, developing and maintaining an independent research program, and providing service to the university and profession.
Key Responsibilities- Teach introductory and advanced courses in Forensic Science, including Forensic Biology/Chemistry, Crime Scene Investigation, and other specialized courses.
- Develop and maintain an independent research program, with a focus on publishing research in reputable academic journals.
- Advise and mentor undergraduate students, including those participating in research projects.
- Provide service to the university, including participating in departmental and university-wide committees, and engaging in student recruiting activities.
- Maintain program curriculum and standards in compliance with FEPAC guidelines, and complete required tasks and responsibilities toward achieving and maintaining forensic science program accreditation.
- Ph.D. in biology or chemistry or closely related field, with practical experience in forensic science and teaching experience.
- Ability to develop and maintain an independent research program, with a focus on publishing research in reputable academic journals.
- Strong commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduate forensic science courses.
- Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff, and to contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Practical experience in forensic science, including experience with FEPAC guidelines.
- Familiarity with forensic science program accreditation processes.
- Experience with teaching and mentoring undergraduate students.
