The University of Findlay is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Forensic Science Professor to join our faculty. As a tenure-track Assistant Professor, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in Forensic Science, developing and maintaining an independent research program, and providing service to the university and profession.

• Teach introductory and advanced courses in Forensic Science, including Forensic Biology/Chemistry, Crime Scene Investigation, and other specialized courses.
• Develop and maintain an independent research program, with a focus on publishing research in reputable academic journals.
• Advise and mentor undergraduate students, including those participating in research projects.
• Provide service to the university, including participating in departmental and university-wide committees, and engaging in student recruiting activities.
• Maintain program curriculum and standards in compliance with FEPAC guidelines, and complete required tasks and responsibilities toward achieving and maintaining forensic science program accreditation.

• Ph.D. in biology or chemistry or closely related field, with practical experience in forensic science and teaching experience.
• Ability to develop and maintain an independent research program, with a focus on publishing research in reputable academic journals.
• Strong commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduate forensic science courses.
• Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff, and to contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Practical experience in forensic science, including experience with FEPAC guidelines.
• Familiarity with forensic science program accreditation processes.
• Experience with teaching and mentoring undergraduate students.
