About the Role

This key position plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care to our residents. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for supervising certified nursing assistants, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other members of the interdisciplinary team to meet the holistic needs of our residents.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Directs daily activities of certified nursing assistants in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ensures compliance with policies and procedures among nursing personnel.
  • Participates in admission, discharge, and transfers of residents as required.
  • Observes changes in residents' status, notifies physicians and families, and documents accordingly.
  • Transcribes physician orders and carries out instructions as written.
  • Prepares and administers medications as per physicians' orders, observing for adverse effects.
  • Performs wound treatments as per physicians' orders, observes for changes, and documents accordingly.
  • Schedules follow-up appointments and transportation needs as indicated.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to nursing personnel assigned to the unit.
  • Delivers direct care skills such as colostomy changes, tube feedings, wound care, suctioning, IV administration, etc., in accordance with current policies and procedures.
  • Conducts rounds to ensure resident needs are met and personnel perform their duties.
  • Collaborates with other team members to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Informs relevant departments of concerns or complaints and files grievances as necessary.
  • Reports incidents or unusual occurrences to supervisors and participates in investigations as needed.
  • Participates in end-of-life care as required.
  • Ensures adequate stock of medications, supplies, equipment, and notifies relevant personnel of needs.
  • Initiates, reviews, and updates care plans as required.
  • Promotes teamwork, mutual respect, and effective communication.
  • Participates in survey processes during inspections.
