Job Summary

New Oakland Family Centers is seeking a skilled Clinical Therapist to join our team in providing comprehensive behavioral health services to consumers across various counties in Michigan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate, and ethical outpatient mental health therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families following a person-centered approach.
  • Conduct assessments, intakes, individual, family, and/or group therapy sessions as needed, adhering to professional standards and policies/procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and case files within the electronic medical record (EMR) in compliance with clinic policies and procedures.
  • Complete Utilization Review assignments, including obtaining authorizations for services provided.
  • Assist in collecting copayments, coinsurances, and deductibles from assigned consumers at the time of services rendered.
  • Attend monthly administrative/clinical meetings and actively participate as a positive member of the clinic environment.
  • Maintain good standing with the appropriate board and insurance entities.
  • Complete all recommended continuing education and other requirements to maintain licensure.
  • Stay current with updated research and best practices.
  • Fulfill all initial and ongoing training requirements.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree and licensure in social work, counseling, or psychology is required. Full licensure is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work well with all types of people and populations, including children, adolescents, and adults.
